About

About

Hi, I’m David 👋,

though friends and colleagues often call me “Twinkie”. It started as a nickname and eventually became my gamertag as well. The story behind it is a bit unusual and yes, NASA is somehow involved.

I’m a Product Manager from Munich with a strong UI/UX and product design background. My strength lies at the intersection of product management and product design. I define problems, shape solutions, and drive them to meaningful impact.

This hybrid perspective allows me to connect strategy, design, and engineering, ensuring that teams not only build the right things, but build them right. I focus on outcomes, taking ownership from discovery to delivery and beyond.

About three years ago, I transitioned from design into product management at a B2B SaaS innovation company. Today, I operate in a combined role as Head of Design and Product Manager, where I lead the design function and take responsibility for building and scaling products from 0→1 and 1→10. I align teams around a shared vision, drive decisions, and ensure consistent product quality across the entire lifecycle.

I am especially effective in B2B SaaS environments where products are complex, workflows are role-based, and success depends on strong product thinking combined with excellent UX execution.

I work across the full product lifecycle, leading discovery, shaping direction, and ensuring delivery of outcomes that matter. I collaborate closely with engineering and stakeholders, create alignment across disciplines, and contribute to building strong product teams. I’m also involved in hiring across the organization, supporting interviews and evaluations for Product Managers, designers, and developers.

Always behind the monitor, but sometimes its small.

Fun fact

Fun fact

Outside product work, I’m into cars and photography. I spend a lot of weekends shooting “car spotting,” and I’ve supported automotive events like IAA and the MYLE Festival. If you’re curious, you can find my photography work here.

And my second biggest addiction also just got a screen, a small one. Espresso! I recently switched to an new generation of machine from a German Startup called nunc. Its an ecosystem of an espresso machine, a grinder and their freshly roasted coffee beans to have consistency from the very first cup using IoT, Machine Learning, AI and over 30 sensors. You can read my little article about it here.
